We operate two types of services:
Traditional Tours (City Tour, Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu by train)
Adventure Treks (Salkantay, Choquequirao, Lares, Ausangate, etc.)
Each category has different operational costs. Trekking services require advance logistics such as permits, transport, cooks, porters, camping equipment, and government tickets, which are purchased in advance and are non-refundable.
For this reason, cancellation policies for trekking tours are stricter than regular tours.
(City Tour, Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu train tours)
30+ days before departure: Refund of deposit (minus PayPal/bank fees + 10% administrative fee)
15 to 29 days before departure: 50% refund of deposit
Less than 15 days before departure: No refund (100% penalty)
If the client has made an advance payment for a tour that includes Machu Picchu entrance tickets, train tickets, or Tourist Ticket (Boleto Turístico), these services are 100% non-refundable and non-transferable once booked, due to government and railway policies.
No refund will be issued for any portion covering these tickets, regardless of cancellation timing.
However, if the booking includes only guide service and/or private transportation (without tickets or train services), then the standard cancellation policy will apply and eligible refunds may be processed.

45+ days before departure: Refund of deposit (minus PayPal/bank fees + 20% administrative fee)
20 to 44 days before departure: 30% refund of deposit
Less than 20 days before departure: No refund (100% penalty)

All permits, Machu Picchu tickets, train tickets, and government entrance fees are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable once purchased, with no exceptions.
All payment processing fees (PayPal, bank transfers, credit cards, etc.) are non-refundable, as these are charged by third-party providers and not by our company.
By booking any service with Private Tour Guide Cusco, the client agrees that:
Travel in Peru may involve unexpected changes due to weather, strikes, road conditions, or government actions
Itineraries may be modified for safety or operational reasons
Adventure activities involve inherent risks
Travel insurance is strongly recommended
Clients must inform us of any medical conditions, allergies, or dietary requirements before travel.
Adventure treks involve physical effort and remote areas with limited medical access. Participation is under the client’s own responsibility.
By confirming any booking, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
